# Hallwise

> Digital hall pass platform for K-12 schools. One Google Classroom sync sets it up — students never create accounts, install apps, or log in. Single flat price per school ($999/year), free for solo teachers. FERPA-aligned, COPPA-aware, signs NDPA-framework Data Processing Agreements on request.

Hallwise replaces paper hall passes with a real-time admin dashboard. Teachers see who is out, where, and for how long. Schools can cap concurrent passes per destination, restrict specific student pairs from being out at the same time, require teacher approval before a pass issues, and trigger an emergency lockdown that blocks new passes while keeping visibility on students already out. Passes auto-close after 30 minutes. Weekly usage reports email to admins automatically.

The product is built on a trust-first thesis: across 15 deployed schools, students given a kiosk that prints their own name use it honestly without quotas or restrictions. New schools start with all restrictions OFF by default. Admins who want restrictions opt in.

Pricing is flat — $999/year for any school size, no per-student fees. Compare this to SmartPass and e-hallpass which charge $2.50–$5 per student per year plus $1,000+ setup fees. A 500-student school pays $2,250–$3,500/year with them vs $999 with Hallwise.
